Compassionate home health care serving
Coos Bay and coastal Oregon communities.
We offer the finest in skilled care through our home health and hospice services. Because hospital stays are becoming shorter, with more emphasis on outpatient services, we’ve built a home health agency that provides a cost-effective way to help you or your loved one heal in the privacy and comfort of home. In addition, when the need for hospice services arises, we’re able to create a caring and compassionate environment for the physical, spiritual, and emotional needs of both the patient and their family.
Whenever our help is needed, our staff is ready and prepared to provide care to the patient, offer support to the family, monitor patient progress, and stay in close contact with the patient’s physician.

Hospice services are designed to provide a caring environment for the physical, spiritual, and emotional needs of the terminally ill. In particular, care can be provided for the patient, family, and friends in their home, a nursing facility, or a foster care home, which helps prevent unnecessary hospitalization.
The goal of Pacific Home Health & Hospice personnel is to provide symptom management and pain control. However, hope of remission or cure is never abandoned; instead, the focus shifts to providing palliative (comfort) care rather than curative care.
As a result, our services allow patients to retain their dignity while recognizing that quality is more important than quantity in their remaining days.
For example, any person with a terminal illness (life expectancy of approximately six months or less if the disease takes its normal course) is eligible for hospice care.
In addition, the patient, family, and physician must understand and agree to the principles of hospice, which advocate symptom control and quality of life for both the patient and family. Overall, Pacific Home Health & Hospice offers the following hospice services:

Dr. Ravuri is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Hospice & Palliative Care. He has practiced for over 10 years at North Bend Medical Center. His interests include hospice and palliative care, cardiovascular, diabetic, gastrointestinal and preventive medicine. He is proficient in Endoscopies, Colonoscopies, Skin biopsies, Joint and Bursal injections. He also does CGMS testing (continuous glucose monitoring) and starts and manages insulin pumps.
Dr. Ravuri has been the medical director for Pacific Home Health & Hospice since 2006. He strongly believes the principle of hospice and palliative care is not limited to people at the end of their life or those suffering from debilitating disease, but should also be used to address the needs of families. This principle is the basis for health care as envisioned by the pioneer of health care Aristotle. This theorem helps physicians to be better doctors and help their patients in the healing process as medication and modern technology do their job.
Dr. Ravuri at the age of 17 attended one of the most prestigious medical schools in India: Andhra Medical College, started in 1857 by the British. He pursued further training in Internal Medicine at Rush-Westlake Hospital in Chicago.
Dr. Ravuri recently added Lauie Schied, FNP, to his team to increase the same-day access to care for his patients and start palliative care services making his practice a true model for Integrated Medical Home.
His practice motto is “Partnering with my patients in their pursuit of Health, Wellness and Happiness.”
